Abstract:
Poverty is an eternal issue either to developed or to developing countries. China as a most populous and agricultural country is faced with a prominent problem of poverty, especially in the rural areas. At present rural poverty in China tends to highly aggregate in the west. Under the constraint of diverse elements, such as defective resources endowment, economic underdevelopment, inadequate financial investment, backward and poor culture and poverty of vulnerable groups in power resources, western China has become a high risk area of poverty of our country, taking 65.1 per cent of the povertystricken population of the country. A fundamental way to get rid of poverty in western China is to give more rights to rural residents in the area, strengthen rural loan support and financial investment so as to develop economy, culture and education in western China.
