Abstract:
Mohist educational philosophy is apparently modernistic for its theoretical basis coincides with modernity without prior consultation. The basis of Mohist educational philosophy is “educating men with justice” and “justice” happens to be the universal rule for administrating national and social affairs. The aim of Mohist education is to train “righteous men” who can obtain material interests and reward from society. Mohist education instructs people to engage themselves in the worldly society in which people live together with one another, totally ridding the classical educational guide to elegant and lofty things. Mohist philosophy contains an orientation of practical reasoning, advocating education promises to realize peoples utilitarian values and reasoning and trains useful workers for the nation, which coincide with the ideological demand for educational modernity.
