A current hot theoretical issue, the Chinese dream has been theoretically interpreted in various ways by domestic and foreign academic worlds. However, studies about its historical evolution needs to be furthered. A reminiscence of modern Chinese history shows that different social dreams shaped the historical foundation stone in different historical phases, from the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom through the Westernization Movement, Modernization Movement, the 1911 Revolution, Neodemocratic Revolution to Socialist Construction and Reform and Opendoor Policy. The main social contradiction, guiding lines, practicing subjects and ideological aims throughout all these historical changes varied continuously, which was just the historical mainline and internal logic. Therefore, a deep exploration of the logic of evolution of the Chinese Dream will provide historical enlightenment and realistic basis to realize the Chinese Dream as soon as possible.
