Abstract:
With distinctive emotive characteristics, Confucianism based its theoretical construction on emotive experience. In this connection, the theory of disposition presents Confucian inquiry into the origin of emotion; the theory of sense shows Confucian reflection on the system of emotive contents, and the theory of friendship expresses Confucian investigation into the principle to realize emotion. Emotive freedom represents Confucian understanding of the aim of emotion while the integrity of intelligence and will paves the path for Confucianism to realize justice of sense, highlight emotive freedom and establish moral personality. According to the abovementioned, the abundant implications of Confucian emotive distinctions provide beneficial references for deeper understanding of a real and reasonable form of human existence and exploration of personalization of ideal in concrete circumstances.
