Studies of Chinese history of economic ideologies depend on the traditional research methods such as literature research as their major methods, the status quo of which is characteristic of unity but difference. Considering the disciplinary distinctions of Chinese history of economic ideologies, the innovation of its research methods can be actualized only by expanding the vision of research, possessing a selfconscious academic position, efficiently control and apply new technology and new materials and getting rid of path dependence. In this way, the discipline can hope for a very optimistic development in the future.
