Abstract:
The relationship between knowledge and ability remains a lasting issue in teaching theory. So it is an eternal human pursuit to realize the maximum development of ability by knowledge teaching. Some basic understandings of the relationship between the two have been gained in the longterm studies, home and abroad, in the past and at present, but they are not enough to extensively and deeply influence teaching and teaching practice. Since the relationship between knowledge and ability is much more complicated than we have actually recognized, further deeper investigations have to be made as to the nature of the relationship of knowledge and ability, classification and hierarchy of knowledge, abilities at different levels, and choice and assessment of teaching means.
