Abstract:
Marx interprets community on the basis of political philosophy, the concept of which provides a basis for social life; moreover, it shapes modern political theory and practice. However, Marx’s interpretation of community has not yet been comprehensively studied from the viewpoint of political philosophy. Rather, literature pays more attention to this concept based on sociology instead of political philosophy. The author suggests that Marx’s community should employ practice as its cornerstone to handle the relations between the subject and the object based upon the political purpose and social principle, which aims at creating revolutionary consciousness among the working class. Marx does not restrict to examine exchange relations between humans with regard to the forms and relations of commodity trades. Instead, he focuses on exploitation of labor and ruling power in politics. It is because Marx regards forms of commodity trade lying in capital or currency relationships. Therefore, the value can only maintain and develop in the state of surplus value, while the surplus value can only be persevered and accumulated through struggle. According to Marx’s theory, it is the crucial point of the concept community concerning the choice of interests and opinions.
