主讲人简介：

Dr. Muhammad Afzaal joined the Institute of Corpus Studies and Applications, Shanghai International Studies University, China as an associate professor after gaining his PhD at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China and extensive research fellow experience at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong, China and seven years teaching experience at Foundation University Islamabad, Pakistan. He is author of the book “Corpora and Discourses of the Belt and Road Initiative, 2023 by Springer, Nature ”. He received the Yang Yong research award from Shanghai Jiao Tong University's graduate school in China. Afzaal’s research interests include topics in the areas of corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, critical discourse analysis, translation & Interpretation studies, and, more particularly the merging of language sciences with AI.
