Professor Tan Tieniu assumed office as Party Secretary of Nanjing University on September 23, 2022. Mr. Hu Jinbo no longer serves the position due to his age.
Professor Tan Tieniu was born in October 1963. He obtained his PhD degree in engineering and is a Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. He previously served as the Vice-President of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Deputy Director of the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.
