Recently, the National Office for Philosophy and Social Sciences released the list of projects to be funded by the NSSFC for academic society-themed academic activities in 2020. The project Study on the Construction of Quality Book Evaluation System and Guidance for Excellent Book Publishing and Nationwide Reading with Professor Xie Na from NEU’s College of Arts as the chief expert has been approved. This is the first time that NEU and Liaoning Province have received such a fund.
The academic society-themed projects to be funded are newly established projects specially entrusted by NSSFC, aimed at supporting the activities of excellent national social science academic societies. The above-mentioned project is entrusted by the Publication Bureau and the Chinese Book Review Society of the Publicity Department of the CPC. With NEU’s art theory research team as the main body, experts and scholars from the Party School of the Central Committee of CPC, Nanjing University, Communication University of China and other institutions of higher learning will participate in the project. It will comprehensively and systematically summarize and analyze the achievements and experience gained in the cultural publishing undertakings since the new era.
