NEU Students achieve Better Results in the Eighth National College Digital Art and Design Awards

All prizes had been decided on for the Eighth National College Digital Art and Design Awards (NCDA) by September 28th. According to the appraisal results announced by the Organizing Committee, the players from the Northeastern University (NEU) won 2 national first prizes, 3 national second prizes and national 1 excellence prize, while NEU was awarded the Outstanding Organization Prize.

This year’s NCDA kicked off in April 2020, attended by a total of 1,106 universities and colleges, with 60,113 entries collected. The teachers and students at different schools of NEU contributed 225 entries. All awards were decided online. NEU students won 2 national first prizes, 3 national second prizes and 1 national excellence prize, as well as 11 provincial first prizes, 16 provincial second prizes and 11 provincial third prizes.

The National College Digital Art and Design Awards (NCDA), hosted by the Talent Exchange Center, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and organized by the NACG Digital Artist Training Office and Future Designer, is one of the extensively influential professional competitions in which college students are actively involved. The entries are divided into various types, including visual communication, digital imaging, interactive design, environmental space, modeling design, fashion and clothing, digital painting, etc. Adhering to the idea of “serving the people with design and cultivating future designers”, attaching equal importance to with art and technology as well as learning and public good, NCDA encourages college students to take an active part in innovative practice so that they can grow into future designers.
