Recently, the 5th “Woodpecker Cup” Annual Promotion Ceremony for Chinese Literary and Art Criticism & the 2nd Cyber Literary and Art Criticism Award Presentation Ceremony was held in Beijing. It was sponsored by China Federation of Literary and Art Circles (CFLAC) and China Literature and Art Critics Association (CLACA), and presented by the Literary and Art Criticism Center and the Cyber Literary and Art Communication Center of CFLAC. Recommended by Liaoning Federation of Literary and Art Circles, the paper Historical Appeal and Contemporary Dimensionality: The History of Literature and Art in the New Era from the Perspective of Historical Philosophy co-published by Professor Xie Na and Professor Song Wei from the Department of Art Theory, College of Arts of NEU, won the 5th “Woodpecker Cup” Chinese Literary and Art Criticism Award. This award is the highest national honor that Liaoning literature and art criticism circle won in the past three years, and it is the first time for NEU to win this honor.
The “Woodpecker Cup” Chinese Literary and Art Criticism Award covers a total of 12 categories of art, including literature, drama, film, music, fine art, calligraphy, quyi, dance, folk literature and art, photography, acrobatics, and TV programs. It is aimed at promoting outstanding works of literary and art criticism, motivating outstanding literary and art criticism workers, carrying forward innovation in and prosperity of Chinese literary and art criticism, and facilitating healthy development of literary and art. This time, 26 awards were given to 4 works and 22 papers.
