From June 9 to 12, the North Division Competition of the RoboMaster University Championship (RMUC) 2023 was held at China University of Petroleum (East China). After fierce competition at the group stage and the knockout stage, NEU’s Fambition T-DT Team finally won the championship.
The competition attracted the teams from 32 universities, including Zhejiang University, Jilin University, China University of Petroleum (East China), Harbin Engineering University, and NEU. In the group round robin, NEU’s Fambition T-DT Team bravely tried new tactics, and relying on stable technique and tactics, it ranked first in the group with a clean sweep and successfully qualified for the next round. At the knockout stage, instructed by teachers Liu Chong and Lu Zhiguo from the School of Mechanical Engineering and Automation, NEU’s Fambition T-DT Team efficiently implemented the tactical arrangement and actively adjusted the personnel and equipment status according to the actual competition conditions. They defeated a number of strong teams from Taiyuan University of Technology, Shandong University of Science and Technology and Zhejiang University, and successfully qualified for the final. In the final, facing Harbin Engineering University, which has the strongest balanced infantry robots in the competition, the T-DT Team dared to fight with unified thought and a clear goal. Giving full play to team cohesion, execution and combat effectiveness, they won the championship at one stroke.
To promote diversified and precise development of robots, the mode of engineering robots competition was adjusted in accordance with the rules, greatly increasing the difficulty of the R&D and operation of engineering robots. In the competition, NEU was the only team with a 100% success rate of engineering robot gold mine. In addition, the rules also adjusted the energy organ hitting accuracy system, and NEU’s robot set the record of the north division competition with a high score of 42 rings.
After the competition, the T-DT Team was invited to visit Qingdao Fambition Heavy Machinery Co., Ltd.
The RoboMaster University Series(RMU) was initiated by DJI. As one of the events subordinate to the RoboMaster, it is a robot competition and academic exchange platform designed for global science and technology fans. As the core event of the RMU, the RoboMaster University Championship (RMUC) focuses on the comprehensive application of science and technology and engineering practice ability of the participants. It fully integrates machine vision, embedded system design, mechanical control, inertial navigation, human-computer interaction and many other robot-related technical disciplines. Meanwhile, it innovatively combines the presentation of e-sports with robot competition to make robot confrontation more intuitive and intense, so it has attracted a large number of science and technology enthusiasts and the public.
