On December 25, the signing and listing ceremony of the establishment of the Joint Innovation Center of Industrial Internet Enabling Intelligent Manufacturing of Iron and Steel(hereinafter referred to as the Joint Innovation Center), is held in Shenzhen, being established in cooperation of the HBIS GroupCo., Ltd (HBIS), Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., and the Northeastern University. This center is built in the aim of promoting the in-depth application of cloud computing, big data, artificial intelligence, 5G and other technologies in the iron and steel industry, and leading the top-level design and standard making of industrial Internet in the iron and steel industry.
Yu Yong, secretary of the Party Committee and chairman of HBIS, Xu Zhijun, Huawei's rotating chairman on duty, and Zhao Ji, principle of Northeastern University, attend the signing and listing ceremony. The academician of Chinese Academy of Engineering and the professor of Northeastern University, Wang Guodong, and other experts of the third-team participate in relevant activities.
It is reported that the Joint Innovation Center will serve as a platform for production, learning, research and application of the industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing of the iron and steel industry. This new platform will focus on solving the key and fundamental problems about upgrading and improving the quality and efficiency of the iron and steel industry, and lead to promote the high-quality development of the iron and steel industry. In the future, the three establishers will work together to build the Joint Innovation Center into a technology R & D platform for the global iron and steel industrial Internet and intelligent manufacturing, a demonstrative base for China's industrial Internet, intelligent manufacturing and other national strategies, and a gathering and training base for the cutting-edge technical talents of China's iron and steel industry's intelligent manufacturing.
