On May 4 and 5, NEU conducted the first nucleic acid tests on the faculty who were in close contact with students returning to school. A total of 3,366 members received the nucleic acid tests.
In the tests on Nanhu Campus, the Center for Disease Control and the Health Bureau in Heping District organized medical staff for sampling with the cooperation by medical staff assigned from the University Health Service. The sampling was completed in two batches on May 4 and 5 in badminton and table tennis gym on Nanhu Campus of NEU. On Hunnan Campus, the Center for Disease Control of Hunnan District and the Baita Community Health Service Center cooperated and completed sampling of the faculty in the Teaching Hall.
During the tests, each faculty received the nucleic acid (throat swab) test and the serum (blood sample) test. To avoid the gathering of personnel, the faculty participating in the testing ware required to arrive at the testing site in batches at different time intervals, enter the site in an orderly manner, take test tubes, nucleic acid testing and serum testing in turn, and maintain a large space with others, and the good indoor ventilation was also ensure, so as to ensure the safety and smoothness.
