主要内容:
Recently, the batch process safety and product quality have been the focus of people’s attention. Multivariate statistical modeling, online monitoring, fault diagnosis and quality prediction have been under wide investigation for batch processes. In this study, phase-based multivariate statistical analysis and modeling method has been developed to reveal the underlying phase characteristics and their different effects on quality. Phase-based statistical analysis and modeling has enriched the achievement of online monitoring and quality prediction for batch processes and also suggest the necessity and potential of further research.
Type 1 diabetes mellitus (T1DM) is a disease characterized by the inability of the body to regulate glucose concentration in the blood; this results from autoimmune destruction of pancreatic β-cell, which produces the hormone insulin. Without proper treatment with exogenous insulin, people with T1DM cannot maintain blood glucose within a normal region. The identification of simple, accurate prediction models plays an important role in the development of an artificial β-cell. In this study, empirical, or data-driven analysis methods were employed to assess one subject’s temporal glycemic variability and make near-future glucose concentration predictions from known signals. Statistical analysis models were developed, which indicates their potential value to patients and physicians where glucose excursions were anticipated in advance and therapy were adjusted before the drifts from the desired range were under way.
