Faculty Position available -Assistant/Associate Professor
ResearchGroup:Materials Chemistryand Chemical Metallurgy
School of Metallurgy(Northeastern University) invitesapplications for two academic positions atAssistant or Associate Professor level. The successfulcandidates will join a newly established research group led by Prof. Ali Kamali. The researchof the group falls under thedisciplines of Materials Chemistry and Chemical Metallurgy, and mainly focuseson on Green technologies forthe preparation of advancedmaterials includingcarbon nanostructures, composites and metallc/intermetallicmaterials for various applications, such as energy storage and conversion.The group has a close collaboration with several universitiesworldwide.
Applicants must havea Ph.D in materials science, chemistry or relateddisciplines with experience within one or moreareas specified below (but not necessarily in all): Newmaterials for electrochemical systems including batteries and supercapacitors,carbon nanomaterials, moltensalts, combustion synthesis and materials chemistry.
Applications from both Chinese andinternational candidates are welcome. The successful candidateswill contribute in activities of the group, including the preparation ofresearch proposals, research, thegroup's publications, teaching, student supervision and administrationduties.
