Recently, Society of China University Journals announced the 2024 Model Case Bank for Construction of China University Journals - Outstanding/100 Best/Excellent Science and Technology Journal Case List, and three journals sponsored by NEU were selected for the case list. Among them, Control and Decision was selected as a case of outstanding scientific and technological journals, Journal of Northeastern University (Natural Science) was selected as a case of 100 best scientific and technological journals, and Journal of Materials and Metallurgy was selected as a case of excellent scientific and technological journals.
Control and Decision was founded in 1986. It is a high-level academic journal across the China, supervised by the Ministry of Education and hosted by the NEU. Journal of Northeastern University (Natural Science) was founded in 1955. It is a comprehensive science and technology journal supervised by the Ministry of Education. At present, it has been included in 9 international famous databases such as EI, Scopus, CSA, and EBSCO, as well as 15 national databases or abstract publications. In recent years, the social influence of the journal has gradually increased, and various statistical data regarding this journal in the Institute of Scientific and Technical Information of China and CNKI generally showed an upward trend. Journal of Materials and Metallurgy is a professional academic publication, hosted by NEU and supervised by the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It was founded in 2002, as a bimonthly journal. Each issue has columns such as metallurgy, materials preparation, materials, and others (energy and environment). It is mainly published for scientific researchers and engineering technicians of enterprises and institutions in the fields of materials and metallurgy at home and abroad. Journal of Materials and Metallurgy is a source journal included in the A Guide to the Core Journals of China of Peking University.
