A Matlab Toolbox for PID Controller Design for Time-Delay Systems
The proportional-integral-derivative (PID) controller design for time-delay systems is a classical and common problem with theoretical and practical significance. We consider a general case that all controller gains (kP,kI and kD) and delay (τ) are treated as free parameters. Our objective is to characterize stability set in the (kP, kI, kD, τ)-space. The problem is rather involved due to the mathematical difficulties. We developed a MATLAB-based toolbox, called PID-Design-Delay toolbox, based on some recent theoretical results. The user only needs to input the necessary information through the graphical user interface (GUI) and then the toolbox may automatically fulfill the analysis.
