Profile
As a faculty member in Northeastern University (Shenyang, P.R.China), it gives me great pleasure to welcome outstanding M.sc. and Ph.D. students who are interested in computational metallurgy, postdoctorates. I invite you to look through our group web pages to learn more about the wide range of research topics we offer and the impactful research by our faculty and students, which underpins our passion for engineering with a purpose.Since I had joined NEU in 2019, I have stood at the forefront of creating new knowledge that is integral to societal and industrial sustainability. Our thematic research in heavy industry such as metallurgy and specifically in aluminum technology, energy, and Supply Chain is underpinned by our fundamental strength in advanced materials, manufacturing, robotics, artificial intelligence, and information technologies. As an engineer and scientist, I never stop helping our students throughout their academic journey, driven by the curiosity to engineer holistic solutions through teamwork and exhibit tremendous creativity in advanced numerical simulations, design, innovation, and capstone projects.
I always do my best to help graduate students work at the leading edge of innovation in many exciting fields across the various engineering disciplines. Our state-of-the-art research environment underpins their achievements. At the school of metallurgy, through the creation and dissemination of knowledge and the strong engagement with industry, I work hard in our institute (Institute of light metal metallurgy) as a catalyst for scientific development in China, in Asia, and the wider world.
