October 25 - 26, sponsored by Jiangxi university of finance and economics, the university of Indonesia, regional national institute(JUFE), strategy and global institute(UI) to undertake The 8th International Conference on Strategic and Global Study and The 1st Conference on Area Study of JUFE, the conference theme for global security transformation, digital economy and regional development. More than 300 experts, scholars, teachers and students from Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, University of Indonesia, University of Malaya, Kyushu University, Japan, University of Paramo University, University of Palestine and many other Chinese and foreign universities and research institutions attended the conference.

The opening ceremony of the conference was held on the morning of October 25 in the graphic Information Building of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics. Deng Hui, President of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics, Chen Changsheng, Deputy Director-General of Department of Commerce of Jiangxi Province, Dr. Mulawarman Hannase, Representative of Minister Religious Affairs, Indonesia, and Dean of School of Strategic and Global Studies of University of Indonesia attended the opening ceremony and delivered a speech. The opening ceremony of the meeting was presided over by Professor Fang Yuming, vice president

of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics.

Deng Hui pointed out that in the trend of inverse globalization, openness, communication and mutual trust are more important, and it is particularly important to deepen mutual understanding and promote regional country studies; the success of this forum will play an important role in strengthening communication, enhancing understanding, stimulating governance wisdom, promoting global prosperity and promoting the building of a community of human destiny.Athor Subroto, Dean of School of Strategic and Global Studies Universitas Indonesia pointed out that the world is undergoing dynamic changes, conservative to populism, more digital society, we are facing a forced us to global thinking and strategic action, unipolar is not we can accept, the international community needs is diversified, fair world order, fair and responsible governance, tolerance and connectivity is the basis of our building a better society.

　　The conference arranged keynote speeches and discussions on regional conflicts, global security transformation in cyber wars and geopolitical competition, decolonization of inclusive digital economy and regional development, and strategic relations between ASEAN-China towards a New Global Order.

In keynote session, Prof.Wu Zhaoyang(JUFE),Prof.Wang Yonghui(Huazhong Normal University), Prof.Hanief Saha Ghafur(IU), Prof.Kalmingbiach(University of Palamo), delivered speeches on the topics of Global Security Initiative and Sustainable Peace, US Indo-Pacific Strategy and China-ASEAN political and economic cooperation, ASEAN in global security transformation, and local knowledge and management of national social transformation.

In the panel session, Professor Deng Jun and Associate Professor Liu Yi of JUFE,Prof.Ibrahim Kholilul Rohman, Prof.Mohammed Lutefi, Prof. I Ketut Surajaya, Prof. Yon Machmudi of IU, Prof. Azlan Shah Ali of Universiti Malaya, Prof. Satomi Ogata, Kyushu International University, Japan and many other scholars delivered speeches on the digital transformation of traditional industries, international public goods and Confucianism, ASEAN-China strategic relations, sustainable urban development and other topics, and relevant participants actively participated in the discussion.

Three parallel forums and two group meetings were arranged simultaneously. Theme covers: non-national actors in the role of global geopolitical competition, Chinese factors in the modern Indonesian national consciousness of analysis, the British off the British manufacturing and Indonesian industrial productivity and economic impact, the new energy industrial policy in the sustainable development of Indonesia, the Middle East conflict in the global security transition, border security and geopolitical tensions, national social transformation of local knowledge and management, inclusive digital economy and regional development of decolonization issues, Chinese and foreign participants to actively participate in the discussion.

In the keynote session, keynote report, parallel forum and panel session, many Chinese and foreign experts, scholars, teachers and students had in-depth exchanges from multi-angle and at various levels closely around the theme.

The closing ceremony of the conference was held in the Graduate School of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics on the afternoon of October 26th. Professor Wu Zhaoyang, dean of the School of International Economics and Politics(JUFE), summarized the preparation, organization and content of the conference, and expressed his gratitude to the organizing team of the School of International Economics and Politics, the University of Indonesia and all the participants. Professor Athor Subroto, Dean of the School of Strategic and Global Studies(UI), expressed his heartfelt thanks to the work of Jiangxi University of Finance and Economics and the outstanding presentation of the participants, and stressed that the international conference promoted exchanges among many countries and laid a foundation for deeper cooperation in the future.

It is reported that the International Conference on Strategic and Global Studies (ICSGS) is an influential academic event in the field of international strategic studies, global perspective and regional country analysis. It is mainly hosted by the Institute of the University of Indonesia. Jiangxi university of finance and economics in the eighth session of the international conference on strategy and global research (ICSGS) and the first regional national research BBS, is our implementation of President Deng Hui’s delegation to Indonesia, Malaysia and other countries visited the important achievement in 2023, is our regional national institute after the first with foreign universities jointly organized international conference, the BBS greatly expanded our international trade, international business, international country, international development and cooperation, promote our international cooperation and other colleges and universities, effectively support the school high level academic research university construction.
