In this talk, I will introduce the implementation of tight-binding Hamiltonian model in silicon and experimental observation of topologically protected edge states. Silicon photonics is a valuable platform to study many-body physics. |

Dr. Jingyun Fan graduated from University of Maryland at College Park in 2002. After spending two years as a postdoc scholar in NEC Research Institute at Princeton, NJ, he has been with the Joint Quantum Institute of National Institute of Standards and Technology. He is now a visiting professor of CAS Center for Excellence and Synergetic Innovation Center in Quantum Information and Quantum Physics at Shanghai. His current research interest is mainly on quantum measurement, quantum simulation, and optomechanics. |
