➭ Program Description
The metaverse is an immersive cyberspace that integrates digital and physical worlds. It represents the future industry where artifcial intelligence, blockchain, 5G, Internet of Things, virtual reality, and other next-generation information technologies are innovatively integrated and applied. It is an advanced form of integration between the digital economy and the physical economy, with vast space and enormous potential. Currently, the global metaverse industry is rapidly evolving, leading the next generation of interet development through the interaction between virtual and reality. It accelerates the upgrading of manufacturing industry towards high-end, intelligent, and greenization, supporting the construction of a modern industrial systemm.
This project aims to introduce the development of China's research and application in the metaverse feld, providing opportunities for students from overseas to understand this area. By visiting electronic information, communication technology, and artificial intelligence-related research institutions and enterprises in the Wuhan area, students will have the opportunity to gain in-depth insights into China's innovation and development in these fields.
This project is targeted at students from overseas who have good English listening and speaking abilities, with priority given to those interested in information technology and China's development.

➭ Eligibility
a) Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with valid passports and are required to submit a passport photocopy.
b) Age between 18-35 years old.
c) Invitation letter and visa application procedures will be notifed later.
d) Currently registered as a full-time student in foreign higher institutions/college/university.
➭ Fees
a) Tuition fee: 5000 CNY, including all the lectures and study materials
b) Accommodation fee: 700 CNY/Month (4 weeks, double room standard)
c) The living expenditure and round-trip ticket are not included.
Notes: HUST will assist all qualified candidates with full scholarship funding from China Scholarship Council in early 2025 which will include full tuition waiver, free on-campus accomodation (double room standard) , medical insurance, and montly stipend. HUST will notify the scholarship results before sending final admission documents to each student.
