Deli Wang, female, Professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Huazhong University of Science and Technology. She was born in Tanghe County, Nanyang City, Henan Province in 1981. She obtained her Ph.D degree at Wuhan University in July 2008 supervised by Prof. Lin Zhuang and Prof. Juntao Lu. From 2008 to 2012, she worked as a postdoc researcher at Fuel Cell Research Center of Nanyang Technological University (Singapore) and then the Energy Materials Research Center of Cornell University. At the beginning of 2013, she joined Huazhong University of Science and Technology and since then she has been a professor at the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering. In the same year, she was awarded the “New Century Excellent Talent Support Program” by Ministry of Education of China. In 2014, she was approved by the “Minutes of Youth” program of the Central Organization Department. Her interests mainly engaged in design and performance optimization research for energy conversion and storage material. In the past five years, she has published more than 90 papers in well-known academic journals, including Nat. Mater., Nat. commun., JACS, Nano Lett., ACS Nano and other internationally renowned journals in the fields of chemistry, materials and electrochemistry. It has been cited more than 4,000 times by academic journals such as Nature Materials, JACS, and Nano Letters, and has been featured as a highlight by many news media such as Science Daily, Science Now, C&E News, and MRS Bulletin. She has applied for 6 invention patents in the United States and China, 3 Chinese invention patents, and 2 US invention patents. She is a young editor of the China Chemical Letter and a young member of the Canadian International Institute of Electrochemical Energy Science and Technology. She has hosted projects such as the Youth and Surface Project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China, the New Teacher Fund for Doctoral Programs, and the Chenguang Project of Hubei Province for Science and Technology.
