柳玉起，华中科技大学材料科学与工程学院教授、博士生导师。以板料成形工艺、理论和模具技术为研究方向，主持了多项国家自然科学基金项目，在国内外重要学术刊物上发表论文200余篇，作为团队负责人自主研发了国内第一款板料成形商业有限元数值模拟软件FASTAMP，取得软件著作权26项。
