Personal Profile
Dr. Hu Diqing, male, born in 1968, is now a professor. In 2001, he received his Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Design and theory from Huazhong University of Science and Technology. From 2001 to 2003, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the National Professional Laboratory of External Storage, School of Computer Science and Technology, Huazhong University of Science and Technology (Key Laboratory of Information Storage System, Ministry of Education), specializing in computer system and architecture, mainly engaged in the research of computer storage technology. He has been working in the university since 2004.His major research interests include: mass data storage system, new storage technology and devices, optical storage technology and system, embedded system and SoC design, etc. He has rich experience and in-depth research in high-speed data interface, data channel, FPGA design, data error correction algorithm, hybrid storage and so on. He has developed holographic storage data channel, optical disc channel codec, optical disc bit error rate test platform, Nand Flash controller, MRAM controller, flash memory test system and so on.
As a major participant, he has participated in 2 national major basic research projects (the “973” Program), 1 key project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 2 projects of the National Natural Science Foundation of China. As the project leader,he has undertaken a National Natural Science Foundation project (Research on Theory and Implementation Methods of Autonomous Storage Intermediary System (ASAS)). In the “973” project "Research on Fast Parallel Storage Processing" (G1999033006), he participated in the project of "Volume holographic Storage high-speed data Channel", mainly responsible for the chip level implementation of the core algorithm of volume holographic storage high-speed data channel. In the New Generation Multi-functional Optical disc (NVD) project, he was responsible for the project of “New generation Multi-functional Optical disc (NVD) channel code and its chip level implementation”, which passed the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements organized by Hubei Provincial Science and Technology Department in 2006. He has published more than ten papers in authoritative journals and conferences at home and abroad. As the first inventor, he applied for and obtained 3 invention patents.
From 2011 to 2012, he worked as a visiting scholar in the Department of Electrical, Computer and Bioengineering at the University of Rhode Island, USA, mainly engaged in research on I-CASH (hybrid storage System that uses solid state disk alongside disk) and Cyber Physical System.
In 2014, he was selected into the seventh batch of "3551 Optical Valley Talent Program" and was responsible for the solid-state storage test system project.
