On December 25th, LI Ming, Chief Economist of the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) with a delegation of nine members for a research exchange. The visit focused on enhancing school-enterprise cooperation and advancing the commercialization of scientific and technological innovations. HE Xudong, Chairman of Qinshi Group Co., Ltd., and CAO Deyou, Secretary of the Hulan District Party Committee of Harbin City, also participated in the discussions. The delegation was accompanied by HEU Vice President YIN Jingwei, who guided the group through the PLA Military Institute of Engineering Memorial Hall.
Vice President YIN Jingwei expressed the hope that both parties would focus on key sectors such as electronics, digital technology, and equipment manufacturing. He emphasized the need for strengthened collaboration to foster industrial innovation and promote the practical application of scientific advancements. YIN also stressed the importance of contributing to the development of high-quality productivity and advancing the economic and social development of Heilongjiang Province.
LI Ming acknowledged Harbin Engineering University’s strategic focus on the shipbuilding industry, marine equipment, ocean exploration, and nuclear applications. He highlighted the university's notable achievements and contributions to China's industrial modernization and socio-economic development. LI also emphasized that the China Electronics Chamber of Commerce would play an active role in promoting deeper cooperation between the university and its member organizations in areas such as industrial transfer and technological innovation, aiming for mutual growth.
HE Xudong discussed Qinshi Group's broad business scope, which includes shipbuilding, marine engineering, international trade, new energy, and industrial investments. He highlighted the company's dual-driven industrial strategy of combining physical assets with capital investment. With over 20 years of experience, Qinshi Group possesses strong industrial resources and an experienced team. Tianhai Defense, a listed subsidiary of Qinshi Group, is the first domestic company to specialize in comprehensive shipbuilding technology and is recognized as one of Shanghai's top 100 private enterprises. He proposed that both HEU and Qinshi Group explore innovative partnerships in fields such as civil ship design, manufacturing, and ocean engineering.
CAO Deyou emphasized that Hulan District, part of Harbin City, offers significant development potential due to its solid industrial foundation and abundant resources. He expressed hope that the research exchange would serve as a platform for fostering deeper collaboration between the university, local government, and enterprises. CAO called for enhanced mutual understanding, strengthened cooperation, and the realization of win-win outcomes that would drive the economic growth of Heilongjiang Province.
A representative from the asset management company also accompanied the visit.
