On December 3, ZHANG Qixiang, Vice Governor of Heilongjiang Province, visited Harbin Engineering University (HEU) to assess the development of its innovation ecosystem. Accompanied by HEU Party Secretary GAO Yan and Vice President YAN Rujian, ZHANG received reports on the university's progress in technology transfer and participated in a symposium focused on knowledge exchange.

During the visit to HEU’s Technology Transfer Center, ZHANG praised the university's achievements in scientific innovation and the commercialization of technology.

At the symposium, ZHANG emphasized that HEU should leverage its strengths to concentrate resources on key incubation projects and accelerate the practical application of research outcomes. He also urged the university to speed up the development of new productivity drivers and play a pivotal role in advancing Heilongjiang Province's overall revitalization.

GAO Yan presented an overview of the university's distinctive characteristics and achievements. He highlighted HEU’s commitment to further integrating industry with education and promoting the synergy between science and education. The university aims to strengthen its capacity to cultivate top-tier scientific and technological talent, ensure the widespread application of high-quality research, and attract outstanding individuals to contribute to Heilongjiang’s development.
