周开乐老师受邀在Science杂志上发表观点性文章

4月19日，美国《科学》（Science）杂志向曾在其NextGen VOICES专栏发表过文章的青年学者发出特别邀请，就其“所在领域的科学家如何帮助社会为一个日益城镇化的世界做好准备？（How can scientists in your fieldhelp society prepare for an increasingly urbanized world?）”这一话题投稿并阐述观点。

我校管理学院青年教师周开乐博士结合中国城镇化发展过程中面临的问题，指出“大数据驱动的行为科学和社会科学研究对于解决城镇化带来的诸多问题具有重要意义。（Big data drivenbehavioral and social science research can play an important role in solving alot of problems caused by urbanization.）”他认为，“日益丰富的多源异构大数据资源为分析行为特征和决策模式提供了一种全新方式。（The increasinglyavailable multi-source and heterogeneous big data resources have provided a newway for analyzing the behavioral characteristics and the decision-makingmodels.）”“社会大数据包括人口统计数据、在线社交媒体数据以及个体与外部环境的交互数据。（Social big datainclude demographic data, online social media data, and individuals’ dailyinteraction data with external environment.）”“基于社会大数据分析，能够揭示新市民的行为模式和城镇化社会的运行状态。（From the social big data analytics,the behavioral patterns of new citizens and the operation status of the urbanizedworld can be revealed.）”“从而支持制定更加精准的公共政策（… support the development of moreprecise public policies.）”。

本期征稿共接受了来自全球15个国家的29位青年学者的文章，其中包括来自美国斯坦福大学、美国宾夕法尼亚大学和新加坡国立大学等著名高校学者的投稿，Science杂志编辑在发给这些被接受稿件作者的录用通知邮件中评价说，“被接收的投稿十分精彩，文章质量特别优秀（the response I received to thissurvey was amazing, and the quality of the essays was outstanding.）”。被接受的29位青年学者的文章发表在5月20日出版的Science杂志上（Vol. 352, Issue 6288）。据悉，这是周开乐博士在Science杂志上发表的第5篇观点性文章。
