On October 25th, Henan University (HENU) convened a video conference with the European Association for International Education (EAIE). Vice President Zhang Ligang and EAIE Vice Chairman Tayyeb Shah attended the meeting, accompanied by relevant officials from the International Affairs Office.

Firstly, Zhang Ligang provided an overview of HENU and discussed the needs for collaboration. He emphasized that Henan University places a high priority on international education and seeks to strengthen partnerships with top UK universities. The aim is to collaborate in establishing joint educational programs, joint training, and research cooperation within their respective areas of strength, in order to foster mutual development and benefit.

Tayyeb Shah introduced the European Association for International Education and highlighted the situation of several UK universities, offering suggestions for HENU’s cooperation with the UK. He noted that UK universities highly value collaboration with Chinese institutions and assured that the association would work diligently to facilitate exchanges between Henan University and its UK counterparts in both education and research, hoping to establish substantive collaborations soon.

Both parties engaged in in-depth discussions on matters at the meeting such as cooperative education, joint training, and scientific research collaboration, reaching a preliminary consensus.
