The China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2024 was held at Shanghai Jiao Tong University from October 12th to 15th. HENU entered the national finals with five items, two of which progressed to the live competition. Ultimately, HENU secured two silver and three bronze awards at the national level, achieving excellent results once again.

Since its launch in April, HENU has placed great emphasis on the China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2024, meticulously organizing related activities. A total of 39 colleges and graduate training units have registered 18,000 participants and 4,971 items for this prestigious event.

In the Henan provincial finals, HENU secured 21 gold awards, 22 silver awards, and 9 bronze awards for various items. The number of participating items and participants, the count of provincial gold awards and total number of awards all reached historical highs. In addition, HENU was honored with the “Outstanding Organization Award” in the Henan provincial competition. Seventy-three teachers, including Cui Daxiang and Xia Ruixue, were recognized as “Outstanding Innovation and Entrepreneurship Guidance Teachers” in the Henan provincial competition.

In the national competition, the new medical item i-sleep: A Pioneer in Relieving Teenage Anxiety and Promoting Sleep through Meridian Activation and the new engineering item ZhiPei Youxuan - iQbD: Leader in High-Efficiency Production of Biopharmaceutical Products both secured silver awards. The Artificial Intelligence+ item Smart Warehouse Control - A Pioneer in AI-Driven Smart Logistics Management for the Food Manufacturing Industry, the new medical item Treatment of Colon Cancer- A Pioneer in Integrated Diagnosis and Treatment for Targeted Colon Cancer Management, and the new liberal arts item Yanjingjiuwei - A Pioneer in Domestic Titanium Sapphire Laser Acupuncture Device Development each won a bronze award at the national level.

The China International College Students’ Innovation Competition 2024 stands among the most influential competitions for college students worldwide. This year’s event attracted 5.14 million items and 20.84 million participants from 5,406 universities in 153 countries and regions.
