On August 15, 2020, the expert seminar on "Frontier Strategy Research in Evidence Science" was conducted in a combination of online and offline methods, with offline sub venues set up at the Science and Technology Appraisal Institute of the University of France.

 

Professor Shi Jianzhong pointed out in his speech that the cutting-edge strategic research topic of the evidence science discipline has brought new opportunities for the construction of the national evidence science discipline. Through discipline construction, it leads team building, scientific research, social services, rewards talent cultivation, and promotes international exchanges. He hopes to stand at the forefront of the evidence science discipline, grasp the development direction of the evidence science discipline, and lead the further development of the discipline through conference argumentation.

 

At the meeting, Professor Zhang Baosheng presented a report titled "Draft for Comments on Frontier Strategic Research Projects in Evidence Science". This article provides a detailed introduction to the topic from seven aspects: the connotation and research scope of evidence science, the important significance of evidence science in national economy, social development, and disciplinary construction, the analysis of research status, major issues, and development trends at home and abroad, future research frontiers and major scientific issues, supporting disciplinary construction, platform construction, cultivating major projects and application backgrounds, future development plans, supporting conditions, and policy recommendations.

 

The attending experts gave argumentative speeches on the cutting-edge strategic research in the field of evidence science, fully affirmed the comprehensiveness of the report, and put forward valuable suggestions from different professional perspectives.

After the meeting, the research group will complete the final writing of "Frontier Strategy Research in Evidence Science" based on expert argumentation opinions.
