Belt and Road Scholarship
“Belt and Road Scholarship” is set up by Beijing Government to provide tuition assistance to international students from Belt and Road (B&R) countries who plan to get bachelor, master, or doctoral degree in Beijing. The establishment of “Belt and Road Scholarship” is aiming to attract more excellent international students to study in Beijing, to promote educational exchange and cooperation between Beijing and B&R countries, to serve the construction of B&R education community, to facilitate connectivity and people-to-people ties, and to strengthen the contribution of Beijing Higher Education to the construction of B&R education community.
1. ELIGIBILITY
A. Applicants from Belt and Road countries who wish to get bachelor, master, or doctoral degree in Beijing;
B. Applicants should be in good physical and mental condition;
C. Applicants do not hold scholarship of any other category during application process.
2. SCHOLARSHIP TYPES AND QUALIFICATIONS
Applicants must have Master’s degree and be under the age of 50.
Applicants must have Bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 45.
Applicants must have high school degree and be under the age of 40.
3. SCHOLARSHIP COVERAGE AND CRITERIA
Belt and Road Scholarship provides coverage on tuition fee only.
Newly enrolled degree-seeking students could be awarded tuition waiver as long as they meet the requirements of Criteria for “Belt and Road Scholarship” for New Degree-seeking Students.
4. APPLICATION PROCEDURES AND DEADLINE
Applicants shall submit application to College of International Education in Capital Normal University no later than January and July for each academic year.
5. APPLICATION DOCUMENTS
A. Capital Normal University Application Form for International Students;
B. Scanned Copy of Passport Photo Page;
C. Application form for Belt and Road Scholarship in Capital Normal University;
D. Scanned Copy of the Highest Education Diploma and the Official Transcript;
E. Additional documents required by Capital Normal University.
6. OTHERS
A. Scholarship will be terminated if students break the law of China or regulations of Capital Normal University, or if their performance doesn’t meet the criteria of Belt and Road Scholarship.
B. Scholarship holders shall complete their study at Capital Normal University. All Scholarship awarded should be returned back to Capital Normal University if students suspend study, drop out of school or transfer to another university.
