To cope with the impact of COVID-19, CNU has been offering online Chinese language programs, which have been well received with worldwide popularity. In the year 2022, CNU will continue the online Chinese language program (with scholarship):
Target Participants:
1. Non-Chinese citizens living out of China currently;
2. Those with good academic performance and conduct;
3. Those dedicated to work in the field of Chinese language education;
4. Those between the ages of 16 and 35 (as of September 1, 2022). Applicants who are currently working as Chinese language teachers shall not exceed the age limit of 45.
Scholarship Type & Requirement:
1. Scholarship Type: Scholarship for One-Semester Study
2. Requirement: HSK score report required
Notes about HSK:
On-the-job Chinese language teachers could provide certificate issued by the employer and recommendation letter instead of the HSK score report.
Scholarship: Full Tuition.
Teaching mode: On-line learning. Teaching platforms might include: ZHUMU, Tencent Meeting, etc. (specific platform to be announced prior to first class).

According to different Chinese proficiency levels, there are 3 grades and 7 levels from elementary, intermediate to advanced, specifically Elementary A, Elementary B, Elementary C, Intermediate A, Intermediate B, Intermediate C and Advanced A. The teaching system is matched with the levels of classes. Chinese courses at all levels cover Comprehensive Chinese (intensive reading), listening, speaking, writing and Chinese characters, etc. Each has its own emphasis and a complete system.
Students will be assigned to different classes according to the result of a placement test. The following is the teaching arrangement of different classes:

Notes:
1. The specific course schedule may be adjusted and students will be notified before the course begins.
2. The college offers Chinese cultural elective courses open to all program participants.
Notice of application and Certificate of completion:
1. Notice of application: False, incomplete or unqualified application files will not be accepted. Applicants who are admitted but cannot register accordingly should submit written report to CIE explaining the reasons at least 15 days prior to the date of registration. As for those who fail to register without any reasons, scholarship eligibilities will be cancelled.
2. Certificate of Completion: CNU will issue Certificate of Completion of CIE program to participants attending the program (when 70% of the program is completed). Participants with excellent performance will have priority in admission and be eligible for scholarship if applying for degree-seeking CNU courses.

1. Contact the teacher by email for the program application form.
2. Fill in the program application form and send it to the designated email address together with HSK transcript (or Chinese teacher's in-service certificate and recommendation letter) .
