Objective:
To present a short introduction course for concurrent Media Arts/English language students. The sessions will highlight how vocabulary and key language can be practiced and learned by using multimedia content and includes regular communication practice as well.
Number of classes:
2 ( lower level 3.5 – 4.5 IELTS / higher level 4.5 + IELTS )
Students in per class: up to 30
Class 1 ( 3.5 – 4.5 IELTS )
Monday 29 May - Thursday 1 June ( 4 sessions )
Time of delivery:
2：00 pm -- 3：00 pm ( BJ time )
Length of lesson:
60 minutes
Additional:
assignment for each session
Class 2 ( 4.5 + IELTS )
Monday 5 June - Thursday 8 June ( 4 sessions )
Time of delivery:
2：00 pm -- 3：00 pm ( BJ time )

Outcomes:
1. Students will learn, recognise, and successfully use in context 20 new vocabulary words and phrases.
2. Students will engage in speaking and writing tasks to increase confidence in communication.
3. Students will recognise key features in media texts ( visual, written, and spoken ).
