摘要:Addiction is chronic debiliating disorder of the brain, affecting brain circuits involved in motivation, emotion and cognition. Whereas early research particularly focused on cognitve alterations in the disorder, advances in neuroimaging methods allowed to map disruptions in the brain circuitry underlying motivation and emotion. The talk will provide an overview on recent findings on brain-based markers in humans that have been associated with the development and maintenance of substance-use disorders and behavioral addictions. Given that the currently availiable treatment strategies for these disorders are of limited efficacy the talk will discuss the perils and promises of innovative treatment approaches rooted in basic neuroscience, particularly the neurohormone oxytocin and real-time fMRI neurofeedback training.
讲座人简介:Benjamin Becker博士是电子科技大学生命科学与技术学院教授。Becker博士在德国特里尔大学和德国杜塞尔多夫大学依次获得硕士和博士学位,并在科隆大学和波恩大学进行博后工作。Becker博士致力于研究精神疾病的神经网络与病理机制,其中包括成瘾等情绪性障碍。在五年内,Becker博士在国际知名的学术期刊PNAS, Brain, American Journal of Psychiatry and Biological Psychiatry等杂志上发表论文三十余篇。目前,Becker博士正进一步研究和发展针对情绪性障碍的治疗方法,其中包括药理疗法以及基于核磁的神经反馈。
