How to apply for Chinese Language Program 

& International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship Program


Long-term Chinese Program

3 Classes

16 weeks per semester, 20 credit hours per week

2 semesters per year (starts in March & September)

Emphasis on communication skills

Free HSK training course

A variety of cultural events


Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizen with valid foreign passport;

2. Aged 18-35;

3. Graduates of senior high school (or above);

4. In good physical and mental health.


Application Materials (* is required):

*1. The Photocopy of Passport (photo page; Chinese visa page if you have)

*2. ID photo with white background

*3. Highest degree certificate (Chinese or English version )

*4. Highest academic transcript (Chinese or English version )

*5. Personal statement (download template from the link, upload it in the application system after filling out);

6. Applications under 18 must upload all materials required in the link

7. Physical Examination Record for Foreigner (please go to hospital for a physical examination as required in Physical Examination Record for Foreigner and upload it in the application system)

8. Non-criminal Record (issued by the local police station)

9. Financial Guarantee Letter (the certificate of bank saving)

10. Other documents


Application Procedures

Application website:/bit/mu_isc/mu_apply/→Fill in the application form online, choose Beijing/Zhuhai campus on study item list→Upload application materials→Pay the application fee online after passing application review→Online interview→Pay tuition and get admitted

Spring Semester:December 15,2024

Fall Semester:June 15, 2025


Fees

Application fee: CNY 500

Tuition: CNY 10,000/semester  CNY 20,000/year

Accommodation:

Beijing Zhongguancun campus: CNY 1,350/ 2 people shared room

                                       CNY 1,200/ 3people shared room

                                       CNY 900/ 4 people shared room

Beijing Liangxiang campus: CNY 900/ 2 people shared room

                                CNY 700/ 3people shared room

                                 CNY 500/ 4 people shared room

Zhuhai campus: CNY 900/ 2 people shared room

                               CNY 700/ 3people shared room

                                CNY 500/ 4 people shared room

Insurance fee: CNY 400/semester CNY 800/year

Visa fee: CNY 400/semester

 

NOTE:

Both the Beijing campus and the Zhuhai campus are open for application, and the campus you will study will be decided by BIT based on class capacity and dormitory conditions.

The minimum class size is 15 students. Less than 15 students, the class will be canceled.

Beijing Institute of technology reserves the right of final interpretation of all the policies related to long-term Chinese language program.


International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

1) What does the scholarship cover?

Tuition, Accommodation, living allowance and medical insurance.
Living allowance:CNY 2,500/ month


2) Who can apply?

Application is open to applicant who holds a non-Chinese citizenship, aged between 16 and 35 years, excelling both in morals and studies. (Applicant currently holding a Chinese language teaching position must not exceed the age limit of 45.)


①One-year study program: The program starts from September every year and the duration of scholarship is 11 months. Applicants should not study in China when they apply and should have a minimum score of 270 in HSK Test (Level 3), and 60 in HSKK Test (Beginning Level).

②One-semester study program: The program starts from September or March each year and the duration of scholarship is 5 months. Applicants should have no prior experience of holding X1/X2 visa to study in China. Applicants should have a minimum score of 180 in HSK Test (Level 3), and HSKK test score is rewuired.


3) How to apply?

Please visit http://cis.chinese.cn/ and choose “Beijing Institute of Technology”. Fill in the application form and upload the required documents online.

Application Period:

March 1st -May 15th  (for programs commencing in September)
March 1st-October 31st (for programs commencing in March 2025)
For specific deadline, please refer to the Application Information issued by Center for Language Education and Cooperation every year.
ALL scholarship applicants will study at the Beijing campus.
