On the afternoon of October 13, 2016, the Party Branch at the State Key Laboratory of Explosive Science and Technology at the School of Mechatronical Engineering organized a special workshop on "Two studies and one action." Mr. Wei Wang, Party Secretary of the School of Mechatronical Engineering, Deputy Secretary and Vice President Jun Chen, Directors of the Key Laboratory, and all party members of the branch, as well as activists of key laboratories attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by the branch secretary Wenjie Wang.

Before formal learning, all participators revisited the party oath in front of party flag. Wenjie Wang led everyone to jointly study the speech of President Jinping Xi when meeting with the representatives of teachers and students of Beijing Normal University, “A Good Teacher Who Satisfies the Party and the People,” combined with the recent talent development seminars held by the university and the development plan of the college.

The laboratory deputy directors Yan Liu and Li Yang, and long-term member Wenzhi Bai, as well as other delegates, respectively delivered speeches to share their experiences in this study and their inspiration to their own work. They profoundly analyzed and compared their daily work life and there are still deficiencies and the atmosphere during the discussion is warm and harmonious.

Cheng Wang, director of the laboratory, emphasized that the explosion science industry is accompanied by dangers. He hoped that the Party branch will play the role of fighting bastions, blaze new trails, forge ahead, overcome difficulties, and continuously advance the work of key laboratories to a new level.

Wei Wang fully affirmed the achievements of the development of key laboratories in these years. He emphasized that "two studies and one practice" are the basis and the key to doing so, and require everyone to combine school conditions, hospitality, and learning. To be a truly qualified party member, give full play to the vanguard and exemplary role of party members, and create a new situation for key laboratories.

Through learning, the Party Branch of the Key Laboratory has united its forces. The Party members expressed that they must keep in mind the speech of President Xi, enhance Party consciousness, strengthen Party spirit, maintain awe, hold hands on scales, be honest and teach, and always maintain the entrepreneurial spirit and pioneering spirit of the officers.
