The international journal Cyborg and Bionic Systems (CBS), published in association with Beijing Institute of Technology (BIT), has been included in the Science Citation Index Expanded (SCIE) of the Web of Science database by Clarivate Analytics.
It is one of the eight Chinese journals included in the index this year and is the first BIT publication indexed by SCI. All articles published in CBS since December 2020 will be included in the database.

In addition, CBS, together with two other BIT journals – Space Science and Technology and Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation – have been selected for the English Journal Project of the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Phase II".
The rapid development of international journals reflects the effective improvement of the university's level of discipline construction and overall strength, enhancing its international reputation and influence.
In recent years, BIT's journal matrix group has continuously promoted its efforts in the construction of a "Double First-Class" university, continuously gathering research results from top scholars at home and abroad, promoting interdisciplinary integration and collaborative innovation among disciplines, and demonstrating the university's outstanding achievements in scientific research and innovation.
In November 2020, Beijing Institute of Technology Press took the lead in collaboration with relevant disciplines to launch five new English language scientific and technological journals: CBS, Space Science and Technology, Green Energy and Intelligent Transportation, Energy Material Advances, and Unmanned Systems.
All of them have been selected for the high-level new journal project of the "China Science and Technology Journal Excellence Action Plan Phase I," and were included in international important databases such as ESCI, EI, Scopus, as well as selected for several key journal construction projects in China.
The five journals are currently experiencing an increase in academic influence in their respective fields.
